Melissa Rekas Metz has over 20 years of experience working on economic development, focusing primarily on private sector-led economic growth. She has worked in all regions of the world, and lived in Chile and the Philippines. For seven years, she led World Bank operations in various countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, related to innovation, enterprise development, value chain linkages, investment policy, investment climate, enterprise access to finance, and institutional development of government institutions working in these areas. She has been Senior Economist with IEG for four years, focusing on evaluations of WBG country programs (cross-sectoral).
