Stephen Hutton

Senior Evaluation Officer (Environment), Sustainable Development Unit

Stephen Hutton is an evaluator with expertise on environment and climate change topics, and is IEG’s focal point for the Environment and Natural Resources Global Practice.

Stephen has conducted evaluations of World Bank activities in environment and environment-adjacent sectors since 2009, including major evaluations on climate change mitigation and adaptation, small states, pollution abatement, and environmental sustainability; learning products on avian influenza response and pandemic preparedness, environmental and social risk management in policy lending,  and environmental policy lending, and a wide range of field and desk-based project evaluations.  He is the coordinator for World Bank project evaluation for sustainable development, infrastructure, and finance & markets.
