Virginia Ziulu is a Data Scientist in IEG’s Methods Advisory Function, specializing in the application of remote sensing and computer vision methodologies for geospatial analysis.
Her expertise spans machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, explainable AI, and photogrammetry. She has experience with multiple data sources, including multispectral and hyperspectral satellite imagery, drone imagery, and digital photos. Since 2024, she has led the integration of imagery data into geospatial analysis to enhance evaluations at IEG.
Virginia is a regular contributor to international conferences on geoscience topics and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. She holds graduate degrees from the University of Oxford and the University of Edinburgh and is an FAA-certified drone pilot.
