Harsh Anuj is a Data Scientist in IEG’s Methods Advisory Function, where he spearheads the integration of AI and data science techniques into evaluation and synthesis products. In this role, he leads the development of AI‑powered web applications that automate routine analysis, advises evaluation teams on innovative methods—including text mining, machine learning, and geospatial analytics—and mentors cross‑functional teams to build lasting data science capacity within the organization. Harsh regularly represents IEG at global conferences and is a frequent speaker on the intersection of AI and evaluation practice.

He holds an M.A. in Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics and a B.A. (Honors) in Economics from Ramjas College, University of Delhi. Before joining IEG, he served as an Analyst across multiple World Bank units—applying machine learning, text mining, and geospatial analysis to support teams across the institution—and as an Economist at the Tata Group, where he provided analytical insights to senior leadership on macroeconomic policy, investment strategy, and business cycles.
