Dr. Nidhi Khattri is a social scientist, whose work has focused on monitoring and evaluation and evaluation capacity development.   

Previous to this position she helped establish- and served as program manager for- the CLEAR (Regional Centers for Learning on Evaluation and Results) program, housed at IEG.  CLEAR works in partnership with foundations, donor agencies, and leading academic institutions around the world to build evaluation capacity.

Before IEG, she worked at the World Bank Institute and conducted evaluations of World Bank’s learning programs and designed and delivered training in evaluation.  Prior to joining the World Bank in 2001, she was Senior Researcher at the American Institutes for Research in Washington D.C., where she led research and evaluation for OECD countries.  From 1997 through 2000, Nidhi lived in China and worked with a number of development agencies, including the Australian Agency for International Development, UNICEF, and UNDP.  Nidhi has authored several publications, including Principles and Practices of Performance Assessments (Erlbaum, 1997). 

She received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology in 1993 from Columbia University.
