Previously, Emanuela served successively as Lead Economist and Program Leader in Human Development Departments in the Latin America & Caribbean, East Asia and Africa Regions.

In her current position, Emanuela oversees all independent evaluations in human development sectors (education, health and social protection) and corporate issues. Emanuela has substantial expertise and has published extensively on a variety of human development related topics, including the governance and financing of social sectors, skills for the labor market, decentralization and school-based management, and higher education.

Emanuela holds a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Oxford.
