IEG Reviews of World Bank Project Implementation Completion and Results Reports (ICR Reviews)
The World Bank conducts a self-evaluation of all operations within 6 months after they close, called an Implementation Completion and Results Report (ICR). About 250-300 ICRs are issued annually and they are publicly disclosed.
IEG conducts an independent desk review of all ICRs to validate the project ratings, based primarily on the information in the ICR. The Bank and IEG adhere to the same ratings criteria.
Beginning with projects that closed in Fiscal Year 2011 (that is, projects that closed since July 1, 2010), these IEG ICR Reviews are publicly disclosed. This website discloses all finalized ICR Reviews for projects that closed in FY11 and beyond, as of May 30, 2012, by region.
